For more information, call 561-955-7100. If your doctor has referred you, we will call you to set up an appointment.
Marcus Neuroscience Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital offers an innovative infusion lab for patients with neurological conditions.
The outpatient infusion lab provides a comfortable and convenient setting. Patients with neurological conditions who need infusion treatments can receive them in the same facility where they come for their neurology appointments. They can also be assured that a neurologist will be available on-site should any emergency arise.
What neurological conditions can be treated with infusions?
With infusion therapy, medication enters directly into the bloodstream through an IV. Your doctor may prescribe an IV infusion due to a lack of effective oral treatment for certain conditions.
Depending on the treated condition, IV infusion can be monthly, biannual or annual treatment ranging from one hour to four hours per session.
Doctors prescribe infusions to treat a range of neurological conditions, including:
- Alzheimer’s
- Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP)
- Headaches
- Inflammatory myopathies
- Inflammatory neuropathy
- Myasthenia gravis
- Multiple sclerosis
- Muscular dystrophy
- Neuromyelitis optica (NMO)
- SMA genetic motor neuron disease
- Spinal muscular atrophy
What sets our infusion lab apart?
Your comfort and safety are our top priority. By locating our infusion lab within the neuroscience institute building, you can receive your treatments in a familiar setting without traveling to another location.
A neurologist is on call if we need to consult a physician. We also have a pharmacist on site to answer questions about medications that are being infused.
Our infusion lab features two heated chairs facing windows that provide a soothing outdoor view during treatments. You may decide to watch a private TV to pass the time. Or, you can choose to listen to music, podcasts or stream shows on your own phone or tablet.
Snacks, refreshments and aromatherapy are also available to help you be comfortable and relaxed during your treatment.
