Cancer Survivorship Series
At Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, we realize that care for cancer patients shouldn’t stop when treatment ends. That’s why we’ve developed seminars to help patients who have recently completed therapy transition into survivorship.
Presented by The Thomas E. Oxley Center for Cancer Survivorship & Wellness, our Cancer Survivorship Education Series provides patients - and their families and friends - with a wealth of information that is important in this phase of their lives. Held in the Institute’s Jean & David Blechman Conference Center on the third floor from 4:00pm to 5:15pm, the interactive sessions feature oncology specialists and are free and open to the community.
Your treatment has ended. But your care should never stop.

Onco-Acupuncture
The Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute is pleased to introduce
oncology acupuncture to its growing list of cancer support services. Acupuncture
is used to balance and harmonize the mind and body. It is a safe and effective
way to naturally treat many health concerns for people at any age. It
involves the use of sterile, single-use, needles to stimulate one or more
points on the body to promote the flow of internal energy.
Onco-acupuncture is a safe and effective way to naturally treat many health
concerns at any age. Reduction of oncology-related side effects may include:
» Dry mouth
» Loss of taste
» Depression
» Nausea
» Vomiting
» Anxiety
» Fatigue
» Peripheral neuropathy
» Headache
» Hot flashes
» Pain
Community acupuncture, also known as group acupuncture, is often used as
a way to introduce new patients to acupuncture or as a more affordable
treatment option. Many of those who practice and participate feel strongly
that an additional benefit of community/group acupuncture is the healing
energy generated in the room during a group session.
